Five Weeks and Counting ...

Somehow we've made it through 35 weeks! Whitney feels like she can't get comfortable. She's having trouble sleeping. She can't bend over. The medicine works most of the time, but she can't go without taking it. Even when she does, she gets nauseous almost every night. Despite all of this, everyone tells us that these last several weeks are going to drag on. We're excited though! We can't wait to meet our baby girl, despite how hard it's been for the last eight months. It's going to be great!

Jacob set up the crib about a month ago. It's a beautiful cherry wood. We hope it lasts for years and years, but it didn't take long to discover that it appears to be a pretty soft wood. We have the mattress sitting inside with a couple packs of diapers and wipes. We're just waiting for a baby. Jacob thinks the baby is going to come early, but she doesn't agree. She thinks the baby is going to come right on time. That or on Valentine's Day. We bought a "stinking cute" Minnie dress today that is obviously supposed to be for the holiday and what better day to celebrate our love child than Valentine's Day?

Cute! I like your new picture! I'm sorry you are feeling so awful but you are almost there! One more month! Craziness!

Wow! Time flies fast huh? Those last weeks were rough on Megan too, but then you get a baby and it's amazing! Good luck with everything!

Oh, Whitney! You look so beautiful as a pregnant woman! I think that Valentine's Day would be a cool day to be born on. I had a baby on St. Patrick's Day and he has always loved the color green and Irish music. Go figure. So if you have a Valentine's baby she will be pink and sweet and very loveable! And you can name her Valentina (one of my student's names who was born on Feb. 14th). We can't wait either and it's not even our baby!

How are you feeling, Whitney? Are you doing okay? I want to see some final belly shots and pics of the crib! ===

And, I can't wait to meet the little one-- via the blog of course-- but still awesome just the same!
